Casino Interlaken AG with new ownership structure

The two shareholders of Casino Interlaken AG have agreed to sell ACE SWISS Holding AG's 18% stake to Kursaal Interlaken Holding AG. Following the successful entry into the online business and a strategic realignment of the ACE SWISS Group, Casino Interlaken is once again 100% owned by Kursaal Interlaken. The transaction has already been approved by the Swiss Federal Gaming Board (SFGB) and will be completed on June 30, 2023.

With the sale of 18%'s shares in Casino Interlaken AG, the ACE SWISS Group is pursuing its strategy of focusing entirely on the Mendrisio site in the terrestrial segment and, if a license is granted, on the new site in St. Gallen. With this takeover, Kursaal Interlaken Holding AG will once again become the 100% owner of the casino company.

Successful online business

In 2019, Kursaal Interlaken entered into a strategic partnership with ACE SWISS, a sister company of Novomatic AG. ACE SWISS Holding AG acquired a stake of 18% in Casino Interlaken AG and participated to the same extent in the subsequent capital increase. This enabled the casino to enter the online market in cooperation with Greentube GmbH, a subsidiary of Novomatic AG. In the meantime, online gaming has developed into a successful and important business area.

The partnership between Casino Interlaken AG (StarVegas.ch) and Greentube GmbH remains unaffected by the transaction. The collaboration is to be continued and continuously developed over the coming years

Konstruktive Gespräche

Both parties emphasize the constructive partnership of the past years as well as the extremely fair negotiations in connection with the transaction.
