Casino ADMIRAL Mendrisio: Operating license for a further 20 years and NOVOMATIC gaming machines

Zurich, November 29, 2024 The current licenses of all Swiss casinos expire on December 31, 2024. Applications for new licenses could be submitted to the Swiss Federal Gaming Board (SFGB) until October 2022. Based on the review and recommendation by the SFGB, the Federal Council granted the new licenses for a further 20 years from 2025 to 2044 on 29 November 2023 - including to our Casino ADMIRAL Mendrisio. In 2024, the SFGB successfully reviewed the operating conditions and approved the seamless continuation of gaming operations on January 1, 2025. With the new concession, Casino ADMIRAL in Mendrisio will be able to offer the innovative gaming machines of sister group and leading technology partner NOVOMATIC for the first time and put them into operation at the start of 2025.

We are delighted to be able to continue offering the region an attractive and innovative range of games in the future and would like to thank all our guests for their trust in our casino. The new concession provides the basis for continuing our success story and living up to our responsibility as an economic factor and employer in the future. In 2023, our casino generated gross gaming revenue of CHF 74.1 million and has thus established itself as one of the highest-turnover land-based casinos in Switzerland.

In addition to land-based gaming operations, our Casino ADMIRAL Mendrisio has submitted an application for online gaming, which is currently being reviewed by the SFGB. This will enable us to offer our innovative range of games online throughout Switzerland from 2025.
